With Canon setting the benchmark, and the best runner-up probably being the Pentax, unless you have a whole bagfull of lenses, waiting for the Nikon seems somewhat illogical. On a side note, the Speedlite 420 and 550 make a great combination for lighting solutions. They're a great investment.
