My friend Mayuko and I went to see Million Dollar Baby last Saturday. It was a great movie and we decided to grab some food afterward. We went to Joe’s Crab Shack since it was close. Oh boy – that was a Mistake. A) never get steak at a seafood place. B) never order something that takes a while to cook an hour before they close the restaurant. The steak was hard and only warm. It was obvious that they had cooked it up a while before and the chicken was as tough as jerky and just as cold as the steak. I was not impressed. Mayuko ordered a sea food platter and it looked somewhat decent. The big fish behind Mayuko is not indicative of the overall food quality.

Even though it was late, they were still open for an hour. I would expect that regardless of when a customer arrives, even if it is near closing and they just want take-out, the food they pay full price for is cooked fresh. I give late-night Joe’s Crab Shack on food. Maybe mid-day Joe’s Crab Shack or early-evening Joe’s Crab Shack is OK but will not go to late-night Joe’s Crab Shack again and cannot recommend it to anyone. I’ll have to write up a review on Million Dollar Baby when I have some time. Overall, I thought it was a good movie. Sad, but good. BTW, the pics were taken with my new Treo 600. Not impressed with the picture quality…

The Treo 600 is a great phone but it has some shortcomings. It works great as a PDA, the phone is great, the camera sucks, they crippled it’s wireless capability or rather, it’s ability to use 802.11 SDIO cards to appease the wireless providers who want to force people to use their data service instead of the hotspot at the deli you’re at… I should do a review on it as well as my Verizon service (which I also think is the minimum they do to get by).
