Well, it seems that the cat is out of the bag now. These picures along with a list of specifications of the Nikon D200 were leaked yesterday on the net and posted to several photography sites around the net. Note that the specs are not official. In fact, none of this is official since Nikon has not announced anything as of yet.

How ironic.

Upgrade to SuSE 10: installing from a local partition

Filed under: Linux — marc @ 1:56 pm

I updated virtual0.mecworks.com to SuSE 10 last night. Things always take a lot longer than you think they will. I started at about 8:30pm and ended about 2:30am. The issues involved were the fact that I had to work around updating the system when I had no DVD drive and no USB 2.0 bus.

Recipe: Low Carb Pumpkin Cheesecake

Filed under: General, Creative Expression — marc @ 11:05 am

On Tuesday this week, I went to my sister’s place for dinner with my family up in Park City, UT. It was my birthday and we had a great time being together and eating dinner. My sister fixed a low-carb pumpkin cheesecake. I asked her for the recipe and she pointed me to this blog entry where she got it.

Bike Trainer: 1h 10m, B-day whoohoo! and virtual0 needs an update…

Filed under: Family, Exertion — marc @ 8:44 pm

Spent just over an hour on the tainer this eveing. It felt good to be on the trainer again after almost a week off to mend my sore throat. The weekend was somewhat uneventful apart from the muffins…I was hoping to do something with Carrie but it appears that that won’t happen now….I’ll be spending more time on the trainer than I had probably planned :(

Recipe: Low(er) Carb 10-Grain Muffins

Filed under: Creative Expression — marc @ 11:26 am

I’ve been eating a low carb diet for a couple years now and I am constantly on the lookout for good food that is low in high-impact carbs. I decided that I wanted to make some muffins and looking around, I saw that I had some Bob’s Red Mill 10-grain Cereal mix with a recipe on the side for muffins. I replaced some of the ingredience and this is what I came up with. Since the 10-grain cereal is not entirely low-carb, these are “lower-carb” muffins.

Bike trainer: 40min

Filed under: Exertion — marc @ 10:27 pm

Seeing as I’m not yet over my sore throat and it’s getting colder outside, I spent 40 minutes on my trainer this evening. I’ll be getting used to it since the daylight is getting shorter and the weather is cooler. I also suddently have more stress in my life and will need more time on the bike to sort things out and deal with it. While on the trainer, I watched two episodes of Seinfeld from my box set of seasons 1-3. At least there’s some things I can laugh at still.

What a great weekend…

Filed under: My Posse::Friends — marc @ 9:08 pm

Carrie and I spent part of this past Saturday and Sunday together. We watched the first part of the LDS semi-anual conference then went hiking and finished listening to the second half in the afternoon. On Sunday she came over for the afternoon session which we watched in High Def…so cool. I had to run up to my parent’s place for a family dinner after that. We had a great time.
