Bike Trainer: 1h 10m, B-day whoohoo! and virtual0 needs an update…
Spent just over an hour on the tainer this eveing. It felt good to be on the trainer again after almost a week off to mend my sore throat. The weekend was somewhat uneventful apart from the muffins…I was hoping to do something with Carrie but it appears that that won’t happen now….I’ll be spending more time on the trainer than I had probably planned :(
Yesterday was my birthday. It was pretty good. A group of my friends went to lunch at Goodwood BBQ in Provo, UT. In the evening I went to Park City to have dinner at my sister’s place with my family. Everyone was there except for my dad who had meetings, Spencer & Becky and Colleen and Mike. The rest of the family made it. My sister Susan made a sugar free pumkin cheese cake with a chopped pecan crust - awesome! Haven’t had a desert that good in a long time. I need to get the recipe for it.
In other news, I need to update virtual0.mecworks.com to SuSE 10. I have the DVD but no DVD drive in the system. I can mount it up loopback and install using a boot CD but I don’t have HD space for the 8GB image. So, the next option is to put the content of the image on my USB drive, mount that, and install using a ‘local’ filesystem. I’ve done that before and it works well but vurtual0 does not have a USB 2.0 bus - only 1.1. …. So, I have a USB 2.0 card that I can put in the machine but virtual0 is burried under two other rack mount cases. The thought of moving the other two and all the wires associated with all these machines makes me want to put off the upgrade… hm… :)
What to do…
