Mondo tire is the best tire they make. Which gives great handling and its very light due to the 290 TPI Gossamer spun casing. Expensive, but worth it. http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com/faq/Specialized_Mondo_Tires_Good_or_Bad.html

Reorg,

Very cool - I think you'll really like it. Just got back from a 20 mile ride this evening. It was a blast! Hope your test ride goes well...

I am test riding a 56cm Tarmac Expert on Friday. Big change from my 1992 Titanium litespeed with Shimano 600. Only thing I am really chaning on the bike are the rims, and the cranks (need 175mm and only 172.5mm come on the 56cm)

I just ordered my own . . . should be here by the weekend (?) there are a lot of bikes out there, but this seems like a good bet (I can't buy a bike from a manufacturer I've never heard of) besides I had a specialized M2 that was my favorite bike of all time

Yeah, I can't wait. It should arrive today. I think I'll be able to pick it up tonight or tomorrow. I'm stoked. I'm glad you liked your specialized. My sister just bought one too - I can't remember which one it is but it's a few years old but it great shape, all carbon frame/fork. Her's has a nice wheelset too with pladed spokes and all. Anyway, maybe I'll see you on the road...

Nice bike! I've got a Specialized too, and Allez Elite from a few years back. Not quite up to the same spec as yours, but still a good bike that's seen me through a lot of fun miles. Unfortunately, I mostly ride in Salt Lake Valley and occasionally northern Utah Valley, so we probably won't cross paths. :)
