Hi William,

I have two things I use. The frist is an '04 Specialized Turbo Pro cycle computer. It records the miles, average speed, saddle time and elevation gain. The second is a Polar model F-11 heart rate monitor that records the Max/Min heart rate and callories burned. I don't know if you can still get the Turbo Pro computer these days but you might be able to find one or Specialized may be making a different model. I looked though and didn't see one that recoreded altitude. That was the main reason I got the Turbo Pro in the first place.

You might want to look into the Garmin Edge 305 if you're interested in a single, combined unit that does everything the two computers I use do and even more. If I was looking to either replace what I have or just starting to look for this functionality, I'd probably go with that. However, the Edge 305 is expensive! So that alone might be a reason to go with a setup similart to what I have.
