The Salt Lake Linux Users Group will be having it’s September meeting on the 20th at the University of Utah. The topic will be Building simple USB hardware gadgets using AVR Microcontrollers. Building simple USB hardware gadgets using AVR Microcontrollers.
The LEDLoad project will be presented. Topics of discussion will
include the design of the hardware, the microcontroller firmware,
and finally the linux kernel modules and userspace programs which
drive a simple tri-color LED. A good understading of low level
software is highly recommended.

For those who may be interested in building a LEDLoad device, a few
extra circuit boards (not assembled) from the project will be given
away during the meeting.
