A simple mistake leads to huge problem…

UPDATES posted at bottom..

So, I’m really upset about something that happened last night.

I’m taking a couple photography classes through UVSC’s community education program which I have really enjoyed. Both classes are on lighting - one on natural light and the other on studio/artificial lighting. When I got home from work I wanted to do something fun and relaxing so I took my camera and my photography books out on the balcony to practice and a little. I was taking pictures of some of the plants I recently hung to attract more humming birds (which by the way, hasn’t worked from what I can tell).

I think I must have been out there for at least 45 minutes when I heard a loud knock at the door. To my surprise, there were two police officers standing there. One was a woman and the other, a male. Apparently one or more neighbors who had seen some flashes and possibly my camera (which was mounted on a tripod, pointed upwards toward the plants) thought I was taking pictures of kids in the condo pool and had called the police. I immediately realized how suspicious it all looked and feel very stupid for doing it in the first place.

Dark Side of the Rainbow and other free movies

So, it was late last night and not really wanting to sleep, against my better judgement I began browsing some of the cool links I have collected over the past few weeks. One of my favorites has been a collection of free or otherwise freely available movies and documentaries at http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/
