    With the latest round in the Adobe vs. Apple, Adobe has responded with ads in the Wall Street Journal as well as the New York Times and also posted an open letter to Apple in which it outlines what it believes are the “rights” of individuals reguarding the web and who controls (or doesn’t, or shouldn’t rather) it.     Engadget covers Steve Jobs’ latest “Open Letter” on flash here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/29/steve-jobs-publishes-some-thoughts-on-flash-many-many-thou/ in which he covers various reasons for Apple’s stance on flash.

    (In a related note, they’re stance on “lower quality” from third-party tools completely is bogus.  I’ve seen plenty of crappy applications grace their store that crash regularly and are *completely* lame.)

    In my opinion, the so-called reasons are all secondary and meant as a smoke screen to hide the real reason Apple doesn’t want flash on the iPhone or iPad. I’ll explain what I believe that reason to be here: continue reading…
